I've always been fascinated with how certain images, words, and designs can influence people's behavior, and the way they feel.
My marketing experience dates back to college, where I studied strategic communications and how to develop integrated marketing campaigns. My first job after graduating, was creating promotional graphics (print and digital) for all of Anheuser-Busch's products in mid-Missouri. It was there I learned the powerful synergy between design and marketing and the impact good design can have on marketing efficacy.
(It's also where I learned how many "craft" breweries were actually owned by the corporate Goliath of the beer world, but I digress.)
Alongside a budding freelance side-hustle, I was able to parlay that gig into a role with a full-service marketing agency in Phoenix. I cut my teeth to learn the ins-and-outs of the advertising world and how other big businesses and organizations looked at marketing. At the end of the day, the goal of any advertisement is to get someone to do something, a call-to-action. What that action is, and what someone is willing to pay for that action, will always vary, but the magic of design will always remain the unsung hero doing most of the heavy lifting.
Below are some examples of different marketing pieces I've done over the years for various organizations, either as part of a larger campaign, or as a way of highlighting the capabilities that good design has.
